Authentic Iwate ironware. A very rare item with a special copper lid construction.
Nanbu Tekki is known to many for its great quality and has become very popular around the world as a typical Japanese traditional craft.
Nanbu Tekki made one by one using ancient methods has a distinctive presence. An iron kettle adorned with a powerfully rising dragon pattern. Free flying dragons are said to hold divine power. Their pattern is said to be auspicious so this item is especially recommended as a gift.

[When using for the first time]
*After lightly rinsing the inside of the iron kettle, fill 8/10ths with water and boil for approx. 15 minutes.
*At first, hot water will be cloudy and have a metallic taste, so repeat this 3 times. When the boiled water becomes colorless, you can use.
*If you do not use for a long period of time, please perform the same task, even if you have done so already.
[After Use]
*Be sure to transfer hot water that remains in the iron kettle to a pot etc., dry and then put away.
[Please Note]
*Never touch the inner surface of the kettle. Cleaning it with detergent, a sponge etc. will remove the rust-preventing oxide film and cause rust.

*As this is a hand-made traditional craft, the finished product may differ slightly.
