This Arita-yaki Supreme Shochu Glass which draws from bamboo as its inspiration is a functional, beautifully designed glass that brings out the flavor of shochu. After repeated trial and error where over 200 samples were made, an ultimate form which gained a seal of approval from liquor stores and breweries was finally arrived at.
① Rim - The rim is designed wide. It feels pleasant against the mouth and shochu tastes more crisp.
② Tilted design - The glass is tilted at an angle of around 75 degrees. Having this shape quickens vaporization of shochu and creates a mellow drinking sensation.
③ Glass base protrusion - Having a protrusion on the bottom of the glass improves convection and taste balance.
④ Glass body node - The node near the bottom of the glass body fits well in the hand and is easy to hold for an added sense of security.
