The back is dominated by a moon flower, which blooms for only one or two nights a year and is thus all the more beautiful when it does. A white flower, here it catches and reflects the gold of the moon. Artist Hakusan's characteristic blending of colors is apparent on the flower and the leaves. Painted in the nure-egaki yuzen style, in which the design is worked while the material is damp. Its trademark features are its gradients and soft colors. Each garment is hand-painted, so the coloring always varies subtly. This is a unique item that will be yours alone, with not a single duplicate anywhere in the world.
