A tote bag made using canvas fabric and an Iwakawa Hataten original sea bream pattern. Through the word "omedetai", "tai" (sea bream) is an auspicious fish essential for celebrations since ancient times. Ebisu, one of the Seven Gods of Fortune, holds a sea bream in his hand. This sea bream, with its excellent red head and tail, is a trademark of Iwakawa Hataten. Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, famous for hagiyaki ware and its castle, is a fishing town that faces the Japan Sea. Iwakawa Hataten was established more than 100 years ago. It specializes in the production of flags, curtains and banners, while carefully hand-making original accessories, hand towels, etc, using dyed Tairyobata fabric.
