This santoku knife, which is designated a traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry as well by Chiba Prefecture, is the only one of its kind in Japan in that it is completely hand-made. This santoku knife can be used for a wide range of cutting including meat, fish and vegetables. A carefully-crafted hand-made Western knife created by an artisan using the traditional techniques of a blacksmiths passed down since a long time ago. An extremely rare, supreme item worked on by a one-of-a-kind chef knife artisan in Japan.
