Uses a characteristic glass material that is beautifully transparent and hard, and also changes appearance depending on lighting. This lacquered "Raden Glass" also uses a mother-of-pearl (abalone shell) technique featured in Takaoka lacquerware. The dodecagonal gold-rimmed glass overflows with refinement. Pour sake inside and it will reflect off the surrounding glass, giving it an expanding kaleidoscope-like sparkle.
