"Hokoro" is made by Fude craftsmen from Kumano, Hiroshima, which boasts the largest Fude production in all of Japan, and features Echizen lacquer and a refined design made from skilled molders. This dynamic collaboration has created a new brush that has never been seen before.

The wood is lacquered many times over - and then once the lacquer is finished a glue is placed on top of the lacquer and the gold leaf is applied. Finally, a Maki-e craftsman uses a lacquer process called "suri" to apply the finishing touches to the luxurious item. The brilliance only increases over time.	Tame" is a black licorice-colored lacquer that will eventually become an earthy red over time. Many fans enjoy its gradual transformation process, and we're confident that you will too.	The wood is lacquered many times over to obtain a true deep cinnabar color. This cinnabar with an excellent gloss is very popular overseas as well. The fresh color is reminiscent of "torii", the gates in front of Japanese temples.	The milk-tea color is called "White Lacquer" in the world of lacquer. With a rich cream color that gradually becomes white over time, it is gaining a lot of attention and popularity.	The elegant and rare ivory-colored white coating (urethane) goes well together with the gentle warmth of the lacquer. The pure white makes for a neat image. 1　After ordering from your shopping cart and contacting us by the Contact Form, 2　Please Cut and Send Us Your Baby's Hair Please include your baby's hair together with your order form in an envelope and send it to us. 3　 Confirmation After receiving your baby's hair, we will contact you regarding confirmation of the name, etc to be engraved on your item. 4　Preparation We will begin work on your Newborn Commemorative Brush "Hokoro". As work begins after your order is received (each brush is made one by one by hand), please allow 2 months for the brush to be manufactured. 5　Delivery of The Item

How To Cut Baby's Hair 1. Collect the hair in your hands and gently comb it. 2. Take the hair you've gathered and insert the comb at the root. Then carefully use scissors to cut the hair from above the comb. 3. Gather the cut hair with the tips facing in the same direction. Please fold it up in a piece of paper as illustrated in the diagram. * Necessary Hair Quantity Length: At least 6cm is necessary. Thickness: When bundled together it should have a diameter of at least 1cm (during the manufacturing process the thickness with become a bit thinner). The final thickness will be 7mm. *You do not have to cut all of baby's hair at once. Cut from the areas that grow more quickly, and once you have collected the required volume send it to us. *We can use previously-cut hair (without natural tips), but in the event that you send us previously-cut hair, please send it separately from hair with tips. *If the forehead hair is growing too quickly and becoming a problem, you may cut it first, and later cut and send just the hair from the back to be made into a brush.
