The long-established shop『Hiiragiyashinhichi』(Baba Dyeing Industries Co., Ltd.) , dyes Japanese formalwear, known as black crested kimono. At their machiya workshop in Kyoto, you can experience katazome stencil dyeing of crests.
As well as traditional family crests, there are also 366 kinds of individual flower crests (hanakomon), that can be selected based on your date of birth. Here you can also transform your item of choice using original crests.
