A dessert dish that luxuriously uses apple wood, a hard material to come by. Wood with beautiful grain has been selected and these items are carefully carved on-by-one by a craftsman using this hard wood.
With its egg-like shape, you can use this to serve cake, fruit etc. With the characteristic color and lightness of apple wood. Its smoothness and beautiful grain will make a dessert all the more attractive.

This egg-shaped plate is different from round-shaped ones. It cannot be created using a lathe, making it a painstakingly crafted item that can only be made by hand.
Even from a global point of view, an egg-shaped wood plate is a rare product. Take advantage of its shape when using – for example, use to serve espressos and cake.

Hirosaki, Aomori Prefecture is the number one producer of apples in Japan. Every year, for various reasons, the trees responsible for this become available. In order to use it as a wood material, it is very time consuming to process, as long, thick pieces of wood are difficult to collect and there are many knots.
Even so, the manufacturer saws and dries wood harvested from farms. Without going against the trends of the times, they use their own equipment and techniques to create these items. Around 50% of the wood obtained is used, but it is used as a regional resource that is seen as a "zero emission activity".
