A decorative tray with presence, and that can be made with only the highest techniques of lacquerwork. Because it comes with a stand, it can be enjoyed as an ornament in a Western- or Japanese-style interior design. Uses "Kinma," a lacquer process that can be said to epitomize Kagawa lacquerware. Kinma is a process in which a surface carefully covered in multiple under, middle and upper coatings of lacquer is etched with a special needle, creating grooves which are then inlaid with colored lacquer. It must be the pinnacle of lacquerwork.

Despite its sturdiness it will naturally develop scratches after being used for many years, but even these can be appreciated as part of its character. Easy to use: it can be carried without its contents sliding, and thus fulfills its practical purpose too. A wonderful piece recommended as something you can enjoy for a long time, and as a functional item.
